Waxwings and other Norfolk News

Waxwings have been reported in three locations so far today; NE Norwich, Holme and Ingoldisthorpe! let's hope this is the beginning of a small invasion! They have been moving south in Sweden in the last week, due to continued snow etc.

Rough-legged Buzzard(s) are still being seen at Thorpe and Chedgrave Marshes, with 6+ Short-eared Owls and 3+ Hen Harrier. The Shorelark flock at Holkham have 'resurfaced' c 1 mile E of the Gap. A 'new' drake Smew is at Blickling Lake.
Late news from y'day concerned a Green-winged Teal at Holme on the marsh by the Paddocks.
Unfortunately, nothing more seems to have come of the possible Parrot Crossbill at Sheringham Park.

3 Water Pipit are at Cley, E of East bank - some improvised viewing might be in order!
