Hockwold Flash

Decided to risk the weather and try for the gulls roosting on the flash viewable from Lakenheath Fen RSPB (where the Great Grey Shrike was still presnt). About 250 large gulls, nearly all adult Lesser Black-backs, were present, so searching through for paler mantle birds was reasonably easy. I found at least one adult and one 3rd winter Caspian Gull and an adult, 3rd winter and 1st winter Yellow-legged Gulls, with a few Herring Gulls, many 1st winter. The overcast and windy conditions (combined with my own inexperience) probably meant I missed some!

Various visits to other sights proved uneventful, except for three Common Buzzards near Bodney.
