Felbrigg Hall NT

A quick visit to Felbrigg after work proved successful. Whilst walking down to the hall a flock of c350 Golden Plover whistled overhead. On the far side of the lake the red-head Smew (1st winter male?) was located, with a single female Wigeon on the ice with Mallard. A Grey Wagtail flew over calling, as did a Green Woodpecker in the distance. Finally a single Little Owl was seen on the fallen oak near the carpark.
