The Day After!

Daybreak saw myself and one other looking forlornly down the channel where the Killdeer had been. A walk along here produced 2 Redshank, Ruff, 10+ Common Snipe and, most surprisingly a Jack Snipe, which, atypically took flight and flew off over the fields! (unfortunately in the gloom the other person present did not see it).

I moved onto Wolferton, where two Golden Pheasants showed. They seemed to possibly be imm males (already showing the mutant dark throats) any comments would be appreciated.

An unproductive drive trying to locate Goose flocks ended up at Titchwell. A single Peregrine flew over Thornham Marsh and 5 Spotted Redshank were with c 20 Ruff and 5 Avocet. The Water Pipit was again seen briefly, as was a Meadow Pipit that others were claiming!

A Barn Owl was seen perched on a fenceline at Great Massingham
