Quiet Week!

A few highlights included a wonderful male Montagu's Harrier at Guist on Friday, being slowly moved off by a male Marsh Harrier, where a second bird was also present with a single Hobby. Hobby was also seen at Yaxham. A low Common Buzzard was N of North Elmham, with 4 others at Honingham and  another Old Buckenham. I caught up with the 3 Temminck's Stint at Cley on Thursday and saw them again on Friday for my Route Patch list. New Barn Owls were found at Lyng Easthaugh and between Dereham and Swanton Morley (where 2 birds are still present). A (the) Little Ringed Plover was seen at Sparham, not being present nearby, although had returned with the Oystercatcher the following day. Garden Warbler and Turtle Dove were unusual birds around the Fen.
